Descriptions and Pricing

Art in Stone/ Indiana Limestone Carving Experience

Minimum : $400

Workshop

10 participants @ one time for 40 minutes - 1 hr. approximately 

10 participants @ $40.00 ea. or $400 minimum

Participants receive an approx. 6” x 6” piece of Indiana Limestone, instruction, informational sheet (available), and a poly bag to carry the finished project home. 

Discounts available for Larger Groups, seniors and Armed Forces


Fairs & Festivals $30.00 ea. participant, or 2  for $50.00


Ages: 10+ Younger if accompanied by an adult



Community/School Programs (Art in Stone)

$200 Minimum on average

We offer,

  • Community Participation/Demonstration Stone; Participants will try carving, using the same tools as the artisan. 
  • Petroglyphs; Learn how early images were made in Prehistoric times, using flint and antlers on stone.

Please call for a quote.  Quotes are based on participation, involvement and time.

Ages: 5+     

Leather Stamping

$15 to $25 per person on average


All necessary equipment, materials, two instructors and one helper are provided.  

Informational sheets and a bag to take your finished project home are also provided, if applicable.

Cost dependent on leather project.  Staining & Painting will add to the pricing.

Ages: 8+ unless otherwise specified.

Quill Pen and Ink

$15 per participant

 

Learn how to take wood coals and make ink!  Take a large feather and turn it into a quill pen.  Now you’re ready to write your message like the American Declaration of Independence was once written.

Bring your campfire coals, or we can supply our own, along with all the necessary materials and instructions for the rest!  You will receive a small bottle of ink, your quill pen, paper and bag to take your project home.

Ages: Family Friendly, 8+, younger if accompanied by an adult.

Nature As Canvas

$10 per participant

 

A look at the environmental art work of the Scottish artist, Andy Goldsworthy, 

Then a quick lesson on the “Principles of Design”, using materials from the natural environment around us.  We will go on a hike to gather natural materials and then it’s your turn to create your own artwork that fits and belongs in the environment around you.

2 hrs.

Ages: Family Friendly, 8+, younger if accompanied by an adult.

Discover Natures Clay

$15 per participant

 

Let’s go creek stomping and discover nature’s clay! Explore its texture, color, where it comes from and its many uses through centuries, even today.  Then on returning, you will have the opportunity to mold your own to take home.

Materials and instruction provided

2 hours

Ages: Family Friendly, 8+, younger if accompanied by an adult.

Natural fiber or Rag Weaving

$10 to $15 per participant

 

Learn how Native Americans and pioneers utilized natural Materials and surplus materials for daily living.  Try Cattail or Rag weaving, mats, baskets or even homes for our feathered friends, to mention a few. 

Ages: Family Friendly, 8+, younger if accompanied by an adult.
